Re: Headers vs Manifolds

There are very few bolt on turbos that flow up where mine does, but the SBR GT14 is 65 lbs/min, and I think the FP3575 uses the same wheel as mine, or one that flows very similar. A bigger reason for me to go t3/t4 was because parts for them are very cheap. My turbo only costs like 600 bucks to build The bolt ons are more expensive, the FP turbos are very expensive when you factor in the 44mm WG and special O2 housing.

The 20g on the 2 liter motor (tdo6h 20g) hit 25 psi by ~3800 rpm in third. A tdo5h 20g will come on a little quicker, 3500ish. My current turbo uses a very alrge T4 O trim wheel in a .82 housing, so I dont see 25 psi until around 5000 rpm even on the 2.4 liter

2g manifolds have gone veyr fast, and the SBR manifold is a little better than the EVO mani. The EVO3 manifolds are about to become much more expensive, so SBR made thier own custom casting. Its esentially a ported EVO3 right out of the box. It also has a thicker flange to space large compressor covers away from the motor so you dnt have to dent the water pipe, etc. High quality cast material, etc. You really cant go wrong with any of the stock manifolds except the 1gs, with arent quite as good.
