I donīt like it

I think the styling is average, maybe too rounded, and the front-end is definitively not nice at all to me.

That's a shame...but that's what you get when you market a SUV to people who plan to use it like a regular passenger car. Unfortunatly this has been the trendy thing lately, don't get me started on the "grocery getters". But that goes for any make really, too many people think that thier SUV is a tank, and forget that they have to alter thier driving habits a bit when they step up in size!!!

Hello first reply on this site.

I think that the Liberty is awsome. At first i didn't like them but now that my parents bought one i think that its pretty darn nice. We got the new freedom editions. I was in a liberty sport and they are ugly. They liberty freedom rides great and looks great. Although looks are not what i look for in a jeep this one is an exception. We do minor off-roading in our liberty. we live on a dirt road in the pretty much middle of the mountains so have to have a 4x4 to get out in the winter. Im really excited to see how the liberty does in the snow with the 17in wheels.

I bought a Liberty Limited in 2003 for my wife. It did fantastic last winter, it actually did much better in the snow than I expected. We liked it so much, we just traded in for a 2004 Liberty Renegade. We live in the country so it DOES see off-road use....not rock climbing, but mud and snow. There are a few things that annoy the hell out of me... such as the transfer case nomenclature; it's exactly opposite of the rest of the world. Both of ours came with towing packages, but the stupid spare tire was mounted so low it was impossible to hook up a trailer. Rotating the mount helps. If we need to traverse 2 feet of snow or mud, we'll use the Excursion or the '64 CJ6 monster rig!!!!!

Re: What do people think of the new Liberty?

I agree with the comments in this thread.
The Liberty is a better vehicle for the kind of use most people will give it than the Cherokee EVER was. However, its not really a direct Cherokee replacement as it does not lend itself as well the the hardcore off road enthusiast.
