as for the wheels, are 18"in a good or bad thing?

i would assume its a good thing as it makes the wheel base wider for better balance and traction.

again, im not sure of this, as i havent seen if the wheels are infact "wider".

Ooh! STi carbon fiber racing wing... I want one... wait, I have a wagon... nevermind. 17s, IMO, look the best on the WRX, but there's ongoing debate about what wheel/tire size combo is the best for performance on the WRX. LjasonL (what's with the name change?) is correct, 16s are the stock wheel size. They're great wheels, but they're kinda boring visually. The stock tires blow, however. If you're looking to replace the grille and front badge, Ebay may be the way to go. Those are just pieces of plastic that don't really have to be all that well made to look great. I personally dig the "I" badge, though I'm going to make a custom one for myself. Here's my plan for my front badge (feel free to steal it or ridicule it, whichever):

I want to get one of the badges with the stars on it, but with the raised 3D stars instead of the smooth, rounded surface. Then, I'm going to sand the whole thing down so it's not all glossy and paint it matte black. I'm going to make a stencil of the "I" logo and paint the "I" in metallic silver, then overlay that with translucent layers of metallic gold and possibly green (to match the flakes in my Java Black Pearl paint job). Then, over the whole badge, another layer of translucent matte black. Thus I have the stars and the "I" in the same badge, but the "I" is sort of ghost-like Java Black Pearl and only visible in certain light angles.
