Re: definition of ricer?

i also beleive that ricer is mostly attitude.

you wouldn't beleive the things some ricers beleive, seriously.
stock civics being faster than lightnings. rsx-s are 10 sec cars stock. my friend with exhaust and intake on his neon beat a corvette.......... list goes on and on. they live in the fantasy world of F&F

I just thought of a good example. Twice already I've heard people say that "srt-4's can run low 12's"...... STOCK. With all honesty they belive the srt-4 can whoop on an srt-10 in stock configuration. Ricers tend to act like they know facts when half of the time it is BS. There is a difference between not knowing (uninformed), and posing like you know information when you actually have no clue (uninformed ricer). Even if you try to call them out on their "facts" they won't back down. Trust me I tried to convince the two people about the srt-4's that vipers are quicker, and they won't have it.

Re: definition of ricer?

Ricers are the kids who beg their mom and dad's for popular cars at the time, place gigantic spoilers and huge exaust pipes on it, believe that every sticker adds horsepower, or by some way, putting a Type - R Sticker will give it that sort of performance, claiming that their basically stock acura legend or honda civic can beat a v8 stang... etc...

or the domestic ricer is the kid who has a v6 stang that adds a gigantic spoiler on it with huge exaust and puts a damn hemi sticker on the side. No i'm not kidding.. there's one that drives a horrid yellow 01 stang v6 with it on it... i've challenged him when i had my j30 but he said 'your not worth the gas" in front of his girl... and i even bet him gas money, he backed down...

Re: definition of ricer?

Everything PEP Boys, Autozone and every auto place has to offer. Maybe all these ricers get a discount at those places. It's funny how everyone describes a ricer the same way...they all get their parts at the same place....maybe even take turns switching parts out.

Re: definition of ricer?

Just because a car with a big aluminum wing and tacky paint job is fast doesn't mean it's not a ricer

Re: definition of ricer?

I had a kid tell me that I was stupid for buying off line when I should buy at autozone, since their stuf is 'the best of the best performance wise'. I wanted to waste him. He had a corsica with a ugly ass spoiler and the important 4 inch exhaust. I can't race anymore, I just found out that I have a blown ring in the second cylinder of my accord :-( I'll have the vtec soon so its okay, just has to last me a little while. Then I'll waste that little ricer and laugh at his ugly spoiler.

Re: definition of ricer?

i have a little neon under my driverside dash dose that make me a ricer it looks pretty cool at night but dose not give me horse power. But i bought it form a friend for like $10 so it was cheap thats the only thing i have on my car except for under the hood.

Re: definition of ricer?

I agree with all of this but hasnt the fast and furious movies played a big role in the whole "ricer" movement? I swear if a 3rd movie comes out things will just get worse. Ricers are already ruining mustangs, camaros, and firebirds with their wings and fart cans. It will be a sign of end times when we see Z06 corvettes and dodge vipers rolling down the stree with spinner rims, 120 lb wings, fart can tips, and NOS stickers.

Re: definition of ricer?

simply put.. that won't happen. no parent in their right mind would buy their 16 year old kid a viper or a z06 vette. the reason kids are getting those neon's, accords, civics, etc are because of 3 reasons
1. they are relatively cheap
2. they get good gas milege
3. they get a lower insurance rate

viper is none of the above, nor is the vette. so no worries lol. i'm happy because i won't ever see a ricer in an infiniti for that reason as well

Re: definition of ricer?

I heard a few weeks ago that a 3rd F&F got the greenlight....
There is on campus here, a Chevy Lumina (I wanna say '96...) that has a paint job that looks like a splash (from the top down...dammit I need a camera), and an aluminum wing. I wish I was kidding.

Re: definition of ricer?

stockton is full of the "ricer" type cars. although there are some kickass civics around here. the ratio of nice worthy cars to riced out whatever the shit they are is not cool... anyhow, my 2cents on ricers.
15-19 year old(maybye older) kids who think that becuase jesse james goes to autozone that they have to go buy from there, its also those people who honestly think they are the einstien of the car world and when they get proved wrong or say something stupid they wont take it back or admit to being wrong, its the guys who think that its a bad thing to loose a race even tho they should have "smoked your ass" off the line or if they didnt have a passenger in the car they would have won... and then flip you the bird cuz you beat them. honestly a ricer to me is a kid with rich parents who buys them whatever their heart desires and doesnt know how to handle the car and then goes and kills themself trying to show off for their "girl"(who is probably a slut in the first place). and ruins the fun of racing or having a good time with cars for the rest of us. i gotta stop before i get mad
