Anyone ever get the feeling God hates you?

The other day some guy cleaned me out with at least 5 flushes and a royal flush, after that another guy gets 7 impossible straights(5-6, 10-8, 7-5...). anyone who has played poker with me for a while will agree i get burned like no one else.

Like has been said...if you are living paycheck to paycheck, maybe that has something to do with the fact that you're throwing money away gambling. And...doesn't the bible say not to gamble?

-in vegas I lose 20 BJ hands IN A ROW in a machine while my gf hits the second highest hand in video poker TWICE IN A ROW.

-in basketball i hit 8 threes in a row before the game, then miss 5 in the game and 4 layups all with the ball bouncing around the rim and eventually rolling out while the guy i gaurd banks in a three and i block another one of his shots and it still goes in.

This is just dumb. We have ONE basketball game as evidence "god" hates you? Wow, and I though people whose house just burned down had it rough, but you LOST at Basketball?? Words cannot convey my sympathy.

-i need money so i sign up for a medical experiment where they pull ur wisdom teeth then pay you, they need a ssn card, but when i look where all my records are its mysterously gone. i try to get a temp one at the ssn office but a whole host of random events happen to cause me to be late and not get to sign up for the experiment

Sounds lucky to me. How do you know that experiment wasn't going to kill you? And anyway, if you're so hard up for money that you're signing up for medical experiments, STOP GAMBLING.

These may not seem like big things to anyone else, but I am confident God lets me get as close to success as possible to get a taste for it, but then pull it away and laugh. These are the most recent events, but I'v had this theory for a long time and now believe it more than ever.

Maybe "god" isn't keeping you down, but your persecution complex is. Maybe you need to realize that it's not everyone else's job to make your life perfect, it's YOUR JOB.

While I do partly agree with you boingo.. I think you went a little over the top.

I'm not religious, but please hear me out.

Worrying what God thinks about you is just like worrying what others think of you. If you try to be someone your really not, bad things will happen. My advice here is just be yourself, try your hardest and do good things for others AND yourself. Don't you think God would want that? Btw, I don't mean try and please your God, but do good things for yourself and others and most of the time good stuff bounces right back.

As with the paycheck.. thats a humans job to fix. No one elses.

Basketball game... when you were practicing, were you standing still? The object of the other team is to force pressure on you so you MISS the shot.

No sex dreams.. this could mean a lot of sycological things. Now I'm probably wrong here, but you may have an actual fear of having sex with a woman because someone in your life might find out that you don't want to know about you.

Its hard trying to figure out dreams. I have tried it over and over and I'm sure everyone else has. But you can only try to make sense of it. All I have really found dreams to be is incidents in your life all mixed up together in an unlogical format. But I do believe in pre-visions and that you can dream about what might happen.

Anyways, hope things go better for ya!

I've had 3 major surgeries in the last 3 weeks. Totaling around $42,000. I have never once thought that god hated me, just that he has a sense of humor(it's a long story i dont feel like getting into)

Please tell me you are joking????? At least you are still alive,and I presume good health. Not to long ago an 8 year old girl was sexually assaulted and had her head cut off!!!!!! Does God hate her??? I doubt it!!!! It's all about free will. I like to gamble now and again, but within my limits(financial.) I don't mean to be harsh. But, let's let reality kick in here. There are many obstacles in life, go around them. Do the best you can. If you fail, well at least you did not quit. Sorry, just my 2 cents.

see i knew everyone was going to use the same argument.."ur not unlucky look at the rest of the people in the world who are worse off than you"..well yeah thats true but does that mean i don't have a right to complain...everyone here is complaining about me complaining so your no better than me....its like if i punched you in the face then said "hey dont be mad, you should feel lucky, there are people out there who dont have a face" ..will that make you feel better?? sure life is hard, but not for everyone it isnt..and just cuzz it is, does that mean i got to like it? All the events that happend up there are real events that sumbolize how I feel and how I am tired of comming up just short of what i need...i can name several major events that happened in the last couple of months and if any of them went my way i would be in a much better position today...its like i need just a little help to get out of a rut and im either not gettin it or am being held back..thats how i feel..im just waiting around to see when my lucky day will be

You miss the point. THEY are worse off through no fault of their own. YOU are where you are, because that is where YOU put YOURSELF.

thank you for sharing your infinite wisdom...even though i never asked for it..nor do i care what you think...its hard to take advice from a guy named "boingo82" anyway....my thread was about people who have a feeling they are being picked up by God not whether or not you believe it is true or not...I'm sure you have all of lifes answers but i dont wanna hear about it...u could prob go to every thread in here and say "STFU and quit ur crying" .... but no one cares what you think ...this is a stress release forum and thats what im doing ... I just found it rather odd that all of your "god is out to get me" evidence directly points to yourself. Come back with a family dead in a car accident (or better yet, of a divine-type disaster like a tornado) and maybe a terminal disease or two, and I'll be convinced that god has it in for you. Hmm...I'll have to see about getting that one started. Don't think it will succeed though, because my experience has been that most people are more interested in whinging about their problems (or blaming god ) than solving them.

don't take what i'm about to say offensive though i assume you prolly will.

1. stop playing the victim role.
2. stop blaming god.
3. do some soul searching.
4. always remember life could be worse.
5. remember when one door closes another will open.
6. often you will not realize that other door has opened.
7. it's easier to dwell on the negitive than it is to look at the positive.
8. learn to redirect your negitive thoughts into more positive ones.
9. "he who loves himself is more richer than he who has a lot of money".
10. reflect upon all positive things in your life and forget about all the bad.

i only share these things w/ you b/c i was once a lot like you. i always felt like "when it rained it poured" on me and no good come of me. i always often said "if it wasn't for bad luck i'd have no luck"

but those are words of someone who is a pessimist and who is always down or hard on themselves. If you want to change things you must first recognize what it is you need to change and put forth the effort and good things will come your way. now, don't get me wrong, bad things will always happen.
and yes, to some ppl more than others.

i hope you see the good in my post and take the constructive critisism.

God hated me today (10/2/04)

well....when I wake up this morning there was "chocolate " on my work uniform, than went to Giant Eagle bought myself "Fruition" (favored water drink), open it and spilled everywhere in my car, drank coffee, than go to work for 3 ahalf hours (4 - 7:30pm), I got yelled at by a customer (colored old lady) because the food was too expensive, and very last thing was taking out trash and a garbage bag full of ice cream and coffee gounds ripped open and spilled. At that point I KNEW God hated me, well actually God hates me everyday by ruining my life.

(long story about MY Life I won't talk about.) No wonder why QUIET people goes INSANE. (that's me)
