Re: 3rd Gen vs 4th Gen

I had a 3rd gen . .an 89 IROC-z28. It was good.. but i like my 4th gen alot more, its Tons faster, looks better, sounds better. and is just more efficient than a 3rd gen. SOmetimes the parts are alot more, but you also get alot more power out of the 4th gen. I sold my 89 for 3500 and turned around the same day and bought a 4th gen Lt1. But i guess its just a matter of opinion. Kind of like women. I like mine fast, hot, and will stay on all 4 when i park her at night

The reason why I was saying is because a friend of mine just got one with t-tops. Her father is gonna fix it up for her and she asked if it was any fast because it was only a RS. And it's pretty cool, I told her it was a 305 v8...but just wanted to make sure. Are they at all fast?

EDIT: Auto, btw.

Re: 3rd Gen vs 4th Gen

it's not too difficult tho, Headers, HI flow cat, 3" exhaust, intake manifold, heads, shift kit, 3.73 gears, bigger throttle body. same basic mods you'd do to any other car.
