Re: Going faster in a non-turbo car?

I know lot's of people with the Zex nitrous kit. It works great; one of the best ones out there IMO

No, it's because a wet kit only injects nitrous if there's enough fuel pressure to support it. It keeps you from lean burning your engine. It has nothing to do with shock.

Re: Going faster in a non-turbo car?

Wrongo.....ding, ding, sorry you loose.... j/p

Please try not to post misinformation.

Quote from extrememotorsports.com

"With a dry system, the nitrous is injected just before the MAS, and the ECU is expected to compensate for the increased oxygen with additional fuel via the injectors. With a wet system, fuel and nitrous are mixed after the MAS, and injected together in a known ratio into the motor.

Quote from slowboyracing.com

"The "dry" system uses the factory fuel injection to enrich the nitrous introduced into the engine. The
flaw with this technology is that no matter how much nitrous arrives at a certain intake port it always gets the same preset amount of fuel, or if a fuel injector becomes clogged engine damage will result. The "Wet" technology introduces a precise amount of fuel and nitrous through a high tech mixing nozzle that atomizes the fuel to microscopic proportions. This allows every cylinder to receive a precise, homogenous mixture of fuel and nitrous, thus insuring a safe, powerful increase."

So, just like EclipseRST said, "the nitrous entering the motor is already mixed with gas"

I never denied that. What I was saying he's wrong about, is the whole "shocking the motor" thing. The advantage of a wet kit, is that it injects nitrous (and fuel, jackass) ONLY when there is sufficient fuel pressure. If there isn't enough fuel pressure, it won't inject nitrous (and fuel, if I need to say it again), so it prevents damage to the engine. This has nothing to do with shock, and everything to do with leaning out the engine. Try again.

Re: Going faster in a non-turbo car?

ok hold up... nitrous is a shock to the motor no matter whether its mixed with gas or not! its something the motor is not use to so its a shock to it... its like the first time you seen a girl naked...(wow... check that out) gives ya a great deal boost, just like nitrous does to a motor! now a wet kit is like a half nekkid chick/topless chick, its not as big of a shock cause you've seen it before, shit you even sucked on titties since you were a baby! but its still like, wow, check out those and it gives you the same boost but still doesnt affect you as much! anything done to an engine that is not normal is a shock, like turning up boost, nitrous or anything else that pushes more power

Re: Going faster in a non-turbo car?

If tuned right it shouldn't really be labled as "shock". Should it? It's not like NO2 is a special chemical or additive that could affect the materials the pistons or head are made of. Its just an oxidizer. With the right fuel provisions it should be fine.

Re: Going faster in a non-turbo car?

You banned someone with more to bring to a forum than you could ever dream of, because they cracked a few jokes about being a pirate? I guess I should expect that from someone who's only technical explanation for nitrous involves strange analogies about naked girls.

Re: Going faster in a non-turbo car?

i dont care what he had to bring... if you cant follow rules then i guess your fucked! i warned him well over 5 times and other mods even warned him to stop posting the ARRGGG and making double post, post after post after post but yet he still did it! AGAINST THE RULES!!! if you cant follow them you dont belong here.

and for my post about the nitrous... i was just fuckin around, i can go into details to but my explaination is for all the stupid little ricers out there that think nitrous doesnt hurt an engine no matter how big of a shot they use or how they use it!

Look, Im really sorry to post again but that was not me. I use funny names.Gay number names are for uncreative cheese dicks.

I would be willing to be that AW4G63 did not have an IP ANYWHERE NEAR mine.

Mine are all at my vocational school while I sit here doing nothing. Its the same Ip everytime.

And I wouldnt give a fuck about nitrous. I've never used it or planned on using it. Im gone. Unless you continue to talk shit about me. My teacher and I find you funny. He builds cars with turbos the size of your head. American iron with more power then your slow silly ass nt could ever hope to see.

When you make more then 400 ftlbs let me know. Untill then your just another dipshit with a keyboard on his nuts.

Take care. I won't be bothering you any longer. We are done in Computer lab this week.
