from my understand ing superchargers are better for the low reving cars and turbo's work better for high reving cars.

depending on the application is turbo > supercharger.

my car has a turbo in it and i couldnt be any happier any other way. a great example of a supercharger being better than a turbo is a damn Cavilier got me off of the line in my AWD.

if i had any other car i would say supercharger is better due to the power on command

I'm all about the s/c....last longer than a tank of NOS, so is therefore cheaper in the long run.

Plus i like the whine it makes!

Yeah you do!!! you have to be very careful with all types of forced induction turbo/super/nitrous, You must make sure you compensate with enough fuel for the extra air, otherwise you'll run lean and...boom.


About the super vs turbo debate, I'm not gonna go into it but from a technical point of view turbos are far better. Of course that is not to say superchargers don't have their place since they are cheaper and easier to install and tune.

Also the concept of turbos are for high rpm power and supers are for low its a Myth.

I wouldn't waste my time with a centrifugal. If you're lookin for the easy way out, centrifugal is the way. I'd rather put more work into turboing or positive displacement supercharging(roots blower, screw type, etc). They'll give much better results, imho.

N20 is the cheepest bang for your buck, and you can have a SC or Turbo and N20.

And yes, you can have a Nitrous Oxide Systems kit on your car, they do make many different types which will suit your needs.

Course....i'm a fan of venom kits myself....

yah superchargers give out incredible low end power but i'd have to say the best all around f/i apllication for many cars i've seen has been sequential turbos where its twin turbo, one small turbo to spool up quick at low end and one much bigger turbo to give insane high end power as well.
