The top speeds aren't going to have anything to do with the engine. That's most likely where they're goverened at. With a heavy truck, no weight in the rear, little aerodynamics, and a solid rear axle it probably isn't too safe to be doing 180-200 mph (which you know some idiot would try).

I have to argue with GTSTANG.. um the cobra if driven right runs mid to low 12s, and the LS1 run mid 13s.. i think u got your stuff mixed up

I like both the Ford and Dodge, the Chevy you can keep. Of the 3 I'd choose RT first until next Lightining arrives (seems Chevy is content with a half assed job) then when next RT arrives I'd go Dodge etc etc. For now RT that thing is sweet.

I'm pretty sure they are not governed it's more gears and wind resitance, more so for the large unproportioned front end of the srt-10. What would be they point in claming fastest truck if you govern them then it would be simple they would move up the governer.

As for me I choose and always will the SVT Lightning
