Jay is right. The V10 in the Gt is quite possibly the best NA engine in a production car.

Ultra light forged internal components, including exotic titanium rods making it probably the fastest reving engine. It has a very wide torque band due to continuously variable cam timing. The ceramic clutch flywheel combo are again a world first at only 6 in diameter and with a weight of only 7.7 Lbs. This allows the engine to sit only 3.6 In above the floor giving it a very low center of gravity.

I dont mean to be condescending, but please read up about cars.

Well, I am taking your advice, and have just read some interesting facts(because that's what you seem to like - numbers) -- the 108 hp/litre output produced by the GT is equaled by the 1997 Acura Integra Type R output, and both are normally aspirated!

Anyway, I do not want to start an argument here - I've always been a fan of the 911 model and I think it defines Porsche...and Porsche defines the sports car industry.

Re: 996 Gemballa Vs Enzo Vs Vanquish Vs Viper Venom

I would rather have the 911 cause the carrera gt is too exotic for my taste. I would rather have the gt for a week though so I could thrash it.

well its kind of sad that you think we are not passionate enough but you actually had to do research to find out the output of the GT and of the type R. Most of us here know those numbers by heart.

And any true enthusiast would also know that you should have brought to the argument the former s2000 engine with 120Hp per litter rather than the type r engine.

But anyway to asnwer your argument, what do you think is easir to produce a 2.0L with very high hp/l ratio or an 5.7L?

I think that if the car is reliable, there is nothing wrong with forced induction. I would like to see them try to put TT on the carrera gt. May not be safe to drive with some boost

In my book, to be passionate one must also, try to EXPERIENCE the thing they are passionate about. When you said "Most of us here know those number by heart." I felt VERY HAPPY(for you). For my part, I have actually driven an older 911 (1972). For some it may not mean much, but for me it did - that's passion.

The reason I chose the Type R engine as an example is to point-out that it doesn't take that much knowledge to build a 100 hp/L car, as the Type R engine is a relatively basic one (outdated).

Anyway, I would not know which one is "easir" to produce, since i'm neither a car designer nor a mechanical engineer.

really because i could swear that autox-ing was part of experiencing a car. Or was my sig not obvious enough

And BTW you are a hypocrite for pointing out my small typing error ("easir") when you yourself made one

or is "enthousiast" the proper spelling?

Neutrino your "know by heart" quote was obviously well thought out.

I guess that what makes the difference between an human being and "the comic book guy". I am sure crayzayjay knows which one he is (seeing how it is Neutrino's job to moderate anyways).

Btw: No wonder americans "invented" "muscle".

thank you so much for breaching the user guidelines and allowing me to ban you.

btw when you sign up for new names and claim to be someone else from new zealand make sure you don't use the same canadian isp as skorpionbite and same ip adress which btw have been logged, and any future abuse will be reported in case you think about signing up.

Right the coworker from new zealand as per your claims. Very wide Ip you have there same IP in canada as in new zealand.

understand this you sign up one more time the traceroute and all your info will be submited to your isp as abuse or to your company. Is that clear!

Even if your story is true you have obviosly encouraged a coworker to sign up with fake info (failing to realise that we can track your internet adresses) to attack a moderator. That is not allowed.

Re: 996 Gemballa Vs Enzo Vs Vanquish Vs Viper Venom

Neutrino,
I think that he was talking about experiencing a 911. You have driven one of these, I know I haven't, but I love the carrera rs2.7 more than any other car, although I know that is certainly not the fastest or the best car out there. But, with the money, I would take one of these over an enzo if there was no way to get rid of the enzo.
