one dealer i talked to here in tampa said the same thing about one car per dealer. he was the manager and seemed to know most of the info so i tend to believe him. luckily i'm number one on the waiting list, hopefully i'll have some kind of say on the color. but he quoted me $26-28 grand. $40 grand must be a cali thing. maybe you should try looking around a few hundred miles, no telling if someone 300 miles away is offering it for less. after all, it's supposed to compete with the WRX, and Scooby buyers aren't shopping in the $40 grand range.
kheetar- the Evo VII at the LA auto show was a japanese spec Evo VII. they didn't have the american spec version there or at detroit.
