Paint looks nice Moe. Did you spray it with the rear wing, and other bits already fitted?

Yes I did does it look bad. I usually do it because I have trouble fitting the parts together after they are painted.

Does it look bad to you? Pics look fine to me. I always paint, decal and polish the pieces seperately, your way is just different. But I guess those Tamiya paint bombs really get into all the nooks and crannies.

It looks good except for the hood scoop. After painting the hood scoop became one with the hood. Not really complaining because I think it looks good but it still is not the way that it is suppose to be.

That must have been a thick coat of paint to fill the gap in

Well the body had to go into the dunk tank. When I took off the masking tape for the window trim the glue from the tape had stuck to the car. It is the same tape that I had used before I left to go to Japan 8 months ago and it was fine then. Has anybody ever heard of masking tape going bad. It is masking tape for models I don't remember who makes it. Just figured I would put that in there since somebody would ask.

I agree with Ray. Put it aside for couple days to paint get hard.

Bad luck with the tape and the paintjob. I'm guessing it wasn't Tamiya tape?
The modeling world is united in saying the only masking tape worth using is Tamiya. Get some and you will love it.

It's not impossible to remove the tape residue, certainly not worth stripping paint over since it's an easy fix.
Denatured rubbing alcohol should remove the tape residue.

Well my wife and I sat down and talked about how this could of happened. We figured out that when I was masking the window I had the car to close to the light that I was using. The light heated up the tape and then when I pulled it off I had tape residue on the car. Here is a picture of how close the light was to the car. Yes I do feel like and idiot but I figured I would tell my story for everybody to learn from my mistake. I am also going to post this in the Car Modeling section so more people will see it and not make the same mistake that I did.
