If it wasn't for a Miracle innings from Michael Bevan on Tuesday it would have been all over for OZ by now anyway....they were only still in it because of him. Good stuff I say.

PS Aussie already tried that trick at the '99 world cup to keep NZ out of the finals for those of you with a good memory.

Notice how the ockers are keeping that one quiet

Some would say that what Flemming did was just not CRICKET but the reason you enter a tourament is to win the tournament one individual game is insignificant.

Full Credit to Flemming for getting his team into the final

Sorry, guess I'm stuck back in the Jurassic era.

I did think that by and large the Black Caps were one of the last teams that relied on skill alone, rather than Dennis Connor -type antics to win matches. Is any sport really that important that we must resort to underhand play just for the sake of winning?

We have proved with the America's Cup "big boat" challenge that when it comes to being assholes, we are competing against experts....and that by sticking to the rules, and playing the game well, we can win international events without resorting to dodgy behaviour.

As I recollect, didn't Austrlia do a similar thing a while back anyway. It's not the use of the points system, it's the stupid system in the first place. It's open to manipulation so of course people will use it.
