O.K. do this...park ur CAR!!....then leave it on..(leave ur car on Net. Not 1st!! just have the hand brake on!!) now let the gas GO and ur RPM should be at or around 1 right...punch it slightly to 3 4 and then punch it to 5,6,7 and u will hear and feel a different TONE!! call it what u want but it's a LOUDER and TONER sound then reving a None vtec lude or GSR!!....yeah go on and try it...if u don't feel anything then u my friend have something wrong with ur ECU/MOTOR!!!!(that's the sign of a fading VTECa and that's the reason I to this before acutually looking over a VTEC CAR that I may BUY) cause my VTEC kick's in like crazy even while i'm rolling on 1st saying from a stop light and i roll till around my rpm get's to 4 or so keep it rolling for a sec or two and then punch the gas pedal all the way and u have VTEC!!!YUP YUP if ur car doesn't do this either then man check ur ENGINE!!!

No, nobody knows what you're talking about. VTEC will only active under conditions where your car is moving forward at over 13mph (of many other conditions). Call Honda.

You may be mistaking it for your IAB valve activating. I'm not sure what conditions are required for it to open.

sballerk... do you even know how vtec works son? usually what happens when you rev an engine... it tends to get louder... you know.. just a thought. non-vtec gsr? uh.. no offence but, does your date of birth start with a 2?
vtec isn't some amazing 100hp shot of nitrus, it's just a change in the lobes on the cam... it doesn't make THAT much more hp... hell, in a stock car, it's just a slight change in sound and a bit stronger of a pull.. anyway... not to start smack talking... but i think i just did

anyway man just go pick up any tech manual on a vtec honda it will tell you the same thing I did, vtec is controled by alot more than rpm. and the only difference that you hear is the fact that you are revving the shit out of your car which usually tends to make it louder and tone will change with rpm on any car vtec or not.


PS not the best idea to rev the shit out of your engine.

hahahahaha unlike u old frats I acuttually have a life/job and was working all day 12 HOUR SHIFT!! which means I couldn't reply till today..anyways..whatever I c...u guys have done enough flamming....but that's O.K. cause I have a life behind this tread....also..damn 12 Hour shift then I get to ride on my VTEC LUDE,cash my check,come home eat and get LAID by my G/F!!how sweet is life at 18???
