Does my hx realy have vtec or what?

Everybody makes a big deal about VTEC, the name alone sells cars. Example: look in your local newspaper or AutoTrader, look at the Hondas. You will see shit like this:

Now if you know anything about VTEC, it really doesnt matter that any of these cars have it. But having VTEC must make it go faster, thinks the buyer. VTEC matters in the following circumstances:

DOHC VTEC, we all know it!
3 stage VTEC, a 130 HP D15B was made possible with this version.
i-VTEC, smoothes out powerband, yet has strong top-end.

But your little SOHC VTEC, VTEC-E, and VTEC II are more useful as selling points, than for performance.

i don't have slips as it is not my car. i'm sure the owner does. and i also saw it on video. check local stores for 'underground imports' i don't think its out yet but its got his white hatch in it running the 12.4

he does have aftermarket suspension, slicks for the lower ET runs, 80 shot of nitrous, intake, header, and straight through N1 exhaust.

i wish i knew what he ran when it was turbo. he had a ridiculous turbo running like 8psi. he beat a cobra by 5 cars. and he gave him a 5 car head start. except an injector failed and his motor ended up being fucked. so he replaced it and sold it.

but trust me he ran a 12.4 no lie with nitrous and slicks.
my guess is a low 11 with the turbo.
