like you just did it

I'd buy a Skyline GT-R and mod it massively
or a Porsche GT2 with 456 SAE-hp (more than a GT3)
or an NSX-R
or a little rally car, a little drift car and a little daily driver

damn where did you get 130k?

Seriously, the closest thing would be a Silvia S15 with lots of mods + a raliable, cheap, economic daily driver.

The Noble M12 GTO would also be a fine choice.

jup, but the looks aren't the best-

but how about a TVR 440R?

440hp, 215mph and just about 100k I think. Doesn't get much more exotic, does it?

Re: what car would you get for under 130k?

or the latest incarnation...
everyone's been going on about why don't they put in a turbo or supercharger...
well, they have!

confirmed specs for the supercharged straight 6 Typhon:
580bhp@7000rpm
476lb/ft @5000
around 1100kg.
£85,000 (but then most of the body is carbonfibre...)
and a true sequential gearbox!

I assume it's pronounced as it spelled, Ling-en-felt-er... but I could be wrong.

Give me an R32 Skyline GTR (About $10k for car, $120k for mods) and I think I could change your mind

Re: what car would you get for under 130k?

Ok then i will open my mouth again and say elise. build the engine up to 450hp. upgrade the suspenion, roll cage, slicks ect ect ect ect all that crap.
Or maybe an ultima GTR with a destroked/bored out twin seq. turbo LS1. Lets see if the skyline can even keep up with my smoke trail.

Re: what car would you get for under 130k?

If I had $130,000, I'd probably buy a really nice daily driver, and a really good sports car. $52,000 for a Corvette Z06, and $78,000 for a Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG (give or take a few thousand on each).

Re: what car would you get for under 130k?

I don't think a Skyline would be any better than a lingenfelter... I was assuming the $130K was to be spent on a street car, not a track-only car, and skyine GTR or Lingenfelter, both would be running side by side, both would pretty much be at the maximum level you can acheive street.

Yeah, thats how everyone around here pronounces it. The shop is about 30 min from where I live. And about 2 min from my boyfriend's parent's house. So I get to see the cars crusing around all the time.

didn't he die (Lingenfelter)? I thought I read in Motor Trend or something that he died. Plus, wasn't the one TT vette that he made cost 160k? The one that they raced against an FA-18 on T.V.? anyone else see that?
