sorry, but I can't NOT reply to a thread on rotors

I've driven Civics for the past 9 years (including my first car being a 1st gen Turbo) but after being with my b/f for 2 years, its opened my eyes to the fact that there is much more power to be had from a turbo rotor than a piston.
He has a S3 Rx7 13b turbo which recently took out his division of Horsepower Hero at Summernats with 433 rwhp on pump fuel.

It's a helluvalot more power than I'd know what to do with on the street but it was built to cut it on the track and still be totally streetable. It has done an 11.1 with a turbo that had gaping holes in the exhaust wheel! and now that it's fixed, the car should be running a 10 soon.

Maintained! not more than any other loved car.
I actually had a mates R100 in the shed it was a 10a with a 13b turbo setup, on 15PSI Id say it would have to make around 220 to 240hp. Good for 13s and 12s with slicks and it would do it with ease. Would it not rota ronnie.

For such a small engine they have amazing power, consider if you times that engine by two to make a two litre youd be pumping out 450hp not half bad.

My favourite enignes are the Rotary and the I-4 Engines.

Type-R -- i enjoy hondas i-4s as well...but a nice, Nissan i-6 TT is much more preferred

If he was using the older 13B then that is understandable. They aren't much good past about 400 Hp. Mazda has improved uppon their engines greatly since then.

My brother has a billion links to rotary sites. He is all about some rotaries. I will post the links if I can find them.

I have an Rx-7 and a civic. The Rx-7 is just sitting there right now though, I have to fix some electrical stuff. The 87-89s have weak solders. I want to build it up, but I don't even have enough to do that to my civic.

it's my b/f's. The turbo's back on it and it's going out to HITmans to get tuned tonight.
I'll suggest the tech stuff to him. He's still working on the site and a few other things at the moment
