Is there anything in your Start Up file? Also, using the Task Manager, you can see what programs are running actively and hidden. Something is running that probly shouldn't be...

*edit* Check your systray (bottom right corner next to your clock) and see if there's any programs running there you don't want active. Click the arrow to see everything there, if there is one.

there are a few thing in the start up file
I would like to delete all the programs running in the background it is differemt then deleting the other programs I just dont know how

You can delete programs from your startup file without deleting them from your computer. Bad programs will come back, but there's a way to get rid of that using regedit if need be. Make sure to reboot after you clear your startup folder. You can usually get rid of everything in there and be fine (unless there's something in there you want running)

Useiing regedit will just keep bad progrmas from reintroducing themselves into your startup folder. Unless you're experianced with it, I wouldn't use it/

Use the add/remove progrmas function in the control panel to remove any progrmas you don't want.

In your task manager look under the Applications tab to see what programs are running actively and Processes tab to see what's running in the back ground.

The Add Remove Program Does Not Work To Remove The Background File -programs

There's ALOT of programs you need to have running in the background for your computer to work properly. Before doing anything that drastic, can you tell us if you have ran any anti-virus software, or like mentioned above if you used any spyware nukers?

Knowing how much RAM you have would also be useful. (You can check that by running msinfo32. Start->Run and enter msinfo32 in the little box that pops up. RAM is listed under Physical Memory.) Let us know your total memory and your available memory.

It says that I have 23.16mb available and as to your question Yes I have ran all those programs they do not seem to help me out it says they take all the cookies out and all the bad programs but the computer does not run any better and it dont say anything about RAM

also, goto start, run, type msconfig and hit enter. hit the start up tab and disable all. then go through and enable the programs u want on startup (like AIM, virus scan). hit apply and restart.

not all of them!!!! There are some you need for a successfull boot up! I dont remember which ones off the top of my head, but will get back to you with some answers

Well Im Back It Still Did Not Work Please Help The Next Move The Computer Is Going In The Trash Can !!!!!!!!! It Brand New It Sould Not Be Doing This

raz-i'm PRETTY sure u don't need any of them in the "start-up" tab. the other tabs have necessary processes though.
