Re: God bless America's veterans.

I would like to know in what way Bush is a puppet for anybody. Sure he speaks a lot about what congress is proposing and what different factions in the government are discussing, but in what way is he a puppet? That is an argument I've never understood.

Re: God bless America's veterans.

It seems that no one supports taking away benefits from our military service men and women. We could complain about it here or we could e-mail our elected officials and let them know what we think and let them know how they should act on this topic. Here are a few links that will let you know who your elected official is and how to email him/her. You can make a difference. With 200,000 members on AF I'm estimating that at least 1/3 are American citizens. If 1/3 of that 1/3 emailed their respective elected govt. officials that comes out to 22,222 people writting letting them know we don't support cutting benefits to our military personel. That's a big statement.

Damn skippy -- it'd be nice to actually use this here democratic process for something useful. I'd say a message along the lines of:

"I ACTUALLY support our troops, not just lip service for the TV cameras. Members of the House and Senate should take care of our veterans and active-duty service people, or We The People will remove you."
