Wow in one movie the Spec-v wins big deal watch all the spec-v vs rsx-s i bet the rsx is going to win. If the rsx-s gets moded even if the spec-v has the same mods it just gets worse and worse the rsx-s responds much better to mods. Go to clubrsx if you think the sentras are so great spec-v can barley hit mid 13's with all its mods, but then an rsx-s hits 13's with intake, race header, exhaust,mm,and hondata 4.

Re: RSX Vs. V-Spec?

No, the base still have VTEC (i-Vtec in fact) but not a performance one like in the Type S.

Re: RSX Vs. V-Spec?

Sen's...r pretty fast "quick on launch for a 4-door car"but... I'm sure a Type-S can take down a stock Sen...or with some small goodies....(seeing I took one down on my '94 Lude by a good 5 car's tho I'm not sure what kind of model was it...as it was a stop light race)

Precisely, but to be more specific. The base only has VTEC on the intake cam, while the Type-S has both.

Re: RSX Vs. V-Spec?

well i dunno about running NOS in a vtec engine... is there any major problems running it on a completely stock v-tec engine (dont forget nitrous lowers intake charge temp)

Re: RSX Vs. V-Spec?

I'm not sure about problems but many people are running NOS on the RSX and RSX-S.

Re: RSX Vs. V-Spec?

You could spend the cash on a cold air intake and Hondata ECU reflash and have a fast car that's better everytime, not just when the NOS bottle is full

i know that and being in2 real racing NOS would be one of the last mods i would do, but this guy just wants to win a race and there is no other way to get that much HP increase (may it be for a short time) for that kind of money...

Re: RSX Vs. V-Spec?

Screw NOS. I wouldn't use it. That stuff wrecks the engine. You should do a Type S head swap and have a 5 speed type S. With the 6 speed there is a big chance of miss-shifting. Granted it will cost quit a few bucks but it would be worth it.

Re: RSX Vs. V-Spec?

What the?

If you do it correctly NOS won't wreck your engine.

And swap in a Type S head and get a 5 speed?! (and lose the 6Spd which is better than 5) The 6 Speed is geared for the higher power, and its mainly the newb's who are misshifting. The 5 Speed will run like crap on with that.

If a turbo makes your car a lot faster, do you remove the wheels so your wheels don't slip? If you get new headers to you have them welded to the car so that they don't fly off? Or should we remove our doors because in the event of a side-impact crash the doors might hit you?

Any gains from the Type S block will be negated by n00bifying and ruining it with the 5Speed.

Re: RSX Vs. V-Spec?

Damn thing won't let me edit.......

Ok, so as I said about the negated gains, plus you'll spend all that cash and it'll go right out the window. And for what - a 10 dollar bet?
