Unhappy Please!! Anyone who has mercy on DX owners!!

Hey. 3 years ago, I decided to buy a new car. So, at the time, not really being into cars and all (i am now), I bought a Civic DX. God, if I could turn back time... My car is so slow. Neons can slap me. I'm not rich, so it's going to be a slow process, I know. Right now, all I've got so far, is a short ram intake. I've sunk most of my money in appearance, and am now ready for performance. (something I should have done first!) Does anyone have any good tips for me. Like what mods to do first before others? I'm open to all suggestions. Please help me fix up this "sloth car from hell!!!"
