Buy a turbocharged MR2. They are reliable and easy to modify. Just don't kill yourself.

i dont know about the mr2 turbo my friend had one and i was with him every weekend last summer when something went wrong.. his car only had about 105k on it.. man is that car hard to work on every thing is cramped and reqires the removal of lots of things to get to some thing esle.. but still a nice car..

A good Grand National is maybe a low .8g's on the skidpad. They're a little high off the ground and don't really have enough tire in the wheelwells to be corner carvers. Good sized sway bars, though, and good traction.

On second thought get a Mazda rx-3.
mild work will see you doing 12's, if you get the engine swap. also on that note, ive seen 80's mazda 323's with 13b's dropped in them. They go like a bat out of hell, friend had one that beat a gts-t!
