That might be polished aluminum. Several car companies have put out concept cars displaying the lightness of aluminum and polishing it to a mirror finish for show. Audi did this w/ the A8 in the mid-nineties and Jaguar also around the same time. Chrome or Aluminum it's fuckin expensive.

I believe that everyone has a right to their own opinions, the WRX wagons is something that we thought was not right for us especially with the cargo room that we needed. The XB starting is about $14,500, economically 31mpg city/35 mpg hghwy, lots of room, and the look is different (we call it the "box on wheels"). We needed to fit 2 car seats and a booster seat and the xb has plenty of head room, cargo room/space and there is no comparision with the WRX. It may not have a lot of power like the wagon, but it gets us to point A to point B just fine. Plus, we wanted to get away from the "typical" family car such as the minivan, wagon or SUV.

Re: Need tips on selling my car...
There is no way I would give my car up if I was starting a family. I used to drive my friend and her brand new baby all the time. It was never hard, and actually, since it is so damn small, it was easier to reach her baby from the front seat. Yeah... The Scion wouldn't have been my first choice either, but you can't beat the price...
