corollas suck!

Boy a lot of you have fast mouths when it comes to the new corollas considering you know nothing about them. Also considering they have the same engine as the new Celica GT and MR@ Spyder, with a few modifications you can get one to beat a semi-fixed up GSR. Not like that’s super fast but I know that’s a lot better then most of the cars in here cant do. For some pictures and specs of the new Corolla go here….

oh thats the same engine that propels the corolla s to an 8.8 second 0-60 and a 16.6 second quarter mile at 88mph? :hehehe: and the 95 corolla dx to a 10.2 second 0-60 and a 17.6 second quarter? youre right, that corolla IS a powerhouse! the corolla s is only 0.1 seconds faster through the 1/4 than a civic dx!

a 95 integra gsr has a 6.5 second 0-60 and a 15.2 second quarter youre gonna need more than

is your point that, in stock form, my base model impreza is easily more than a second faster on a drag strip than a top of the line corolla? and infinately faster on a road course? i dont understand what youre getting at here...

anyways no im not stock, performance wise, ive only got about $200-$300 in her, but ive got some stuff in there. enough to win me a "1st place centerville dragway street import class" trophy and a "1st place modified car golds gym annual car show" plaque, so yeah... :o yawn away.

I can easily tell you all that the corolla’s are sweet. BladesM3 is the mod at www.cthreeracing.com and he has his corolla turbo’ed and he ran a ¼ mile at approx 12 seconds! Not many people pay that much attention to modding a rolla, but please don’t get confused with the fact that it can’t be modded. I have a full line up of cars at my driveway…..Celica All Trac (GT Four), Lexus ES300, Camry V6 XLE, and a Toyota Solara. I was once a very proud owner of a Toyota Corolla. Corolla may not be the best car out there, but it’s a whole lot more to offer than its competitors, No wonder it is the “NUMBER ONE SELLING CAR IN THE WORLD FOR LIKE 13 YEARS IN A ROW”

i never said my subaru was all that, what i said is that the BASE MODEL impreza is over 1 second faster through the 1/4 mile and tons faster through a road course than the TOP OF THE LINE corolla. and those are facts. give me some facts to support why corollas are good. i still havent heard any. not a single one of u corolla people have given me a reason WHY the corolla is so good. the reason its the number one selling car in the world is its a good commuter and economy car, but thats where it ends, in commuter and economy. theyre NOT drag cars, obviously with the 16 and 17 second stock 1/4s. theyre NOT road race cars, with the crap ass suspension and 130hp. theyre NOT rally cars, once again with the crappy suspension. when is the last time u saw a corolla raced competitively in ANY type of race series?

like i said, give me ONE reason the corolla is such an awesome car. the only thing any of u can come up with is economy, because thats the ONLY thing the corolla is good at.

and if the cars posted above are what u people call looking good, im glad u dont think my car looks good. the corollas posted above would be right at home in the highschool parking lot with a lot of dumb kids standing around talking about the fast and the furious, but i bet you 99% of the drivers on the road think they look rediculous.
