the Alclad II chrome is awsome. so easy to use (no mixing required) and the finish is great.

I have yet to find anything that even comes close to it

Try using Tamiya Silver Leaf. I used it on my ITR and it looks chrome enough to me.

now do you HAVE to airbrush the alclad? this is not something you can brush on I am guessing?

If you have Wal-Marts in British Columbia, you can buy some Duplicolor Chrome paint in a spray can from the automotive section. If not, nearly any auto parts store should have it.

For parts that i want chrome, i use "Rust-Oleum" Metalic Finish, it looks just like chrome and, it is priced pretty resonable to.

If you want it to look "just right" then send it to chrometechusa. I have used them in the past and have been VERY pleased with the work. The only other alternative that I would even consider would be the alclad system.

there are certain chrome sprays that you can use but they require you to spray you part with black first then spray the chrome. (forgot the name... first saw it at a Kmart)
