Oh, and I couldn't really think of a spiritual successor to the AE86.
However, I think it would be cool to see Takumi driving a BMW M Coupe. It's an FR hatch like the Hachi, but probably has more power than Takumi would need. It also likes to step out of line occasionally, so it would be a nice challenge for him to master it.

I seriously doubt Takumi will get a new car. As said before, part of his rep is based off of the 86. After dropping the modified TRD AE-101 engine in it, why would Bunta get a new car. Its a waste of money and time. I think so anyway.

Actually, I know Bunta gets a WRX. But I dont think its for Takumi. Last time I heard Bunta gets it to test Takumis skills and Bunta ends up beating the living -bleeps- outta him.
Takumis next car would be a large tofu delivery truck. Because everyone will be in high demand for really good tofu with a drifting gimmick in hopes of seeing the AE86 haha
