Re: The grasshopper and the ant

I'm not talking about every person here, I'm talking about the people who live on welfare, who don't even try to get a job. It doesn't matter how you phrase it or how its construed, it should not be the governments job to take care of every person who doesn't have the ambition to go out and find a job. It really isn't that hard. Like I said, how many high school students have jobs? A grown person is capable of the same task as a high school student, and it is a job, even if it isn't a desk job or something.

Re: The grasshopper and the ant

you have to activiely searching for a job to be on welfare, or the yank your benefits.

welfare only lasts a pre-determined length of time before they yank your benefits.

and, i dont know where you live, but welfare really isnt enough to live on, unless you live in some shit hole slum where rent is less than 50 a month.

it is actually relatively impossible to "live off welfare"

go dress in your grubbiest clothes, dont shower or shave for a month, and eat very little. then try to get a job. bet you wont.

I'm just expressing my opinion, which happens to be different than yours, no need to attack me

Did you see (or even hear about) the Discovery Channel show that was on last night, about "The Other Side", exploring what out-sourcing has done for India? It was informative, and scary, at the same time. One interviewee even mentioned that they (India) is going to become a superpower, and another mentioned that they are a "mini-America".

My title for that show is: "The American Dream for American Jobs - in India"
