Re: Me VS 'Them'

Good kill!!
I hate when your not even racing and the guy next to you has the pedal mashed to the ground and he thinks he beat you.Reminds me of the time when a ricer did that to my friends trans am and went around telling everyone that he beat an LS1

That drives me nuts too. Fella in a V6 Camaro ran around my high school years back and told everyone how he blew the doors off the 'tall sax player' when all it was a fly-by. I publicly challenged him and kicked his ass. That was great!

I think I know what your talking about but I save speeds like that for the strip. Usually I don't take in city street races past 20 km over speed limit. I figure that if a cop pulls me over, it wouldn't be that big of a ticket
Yeah, i've had my own run-ins with the cops, so i have to be selective of the streets i race on. Unfortunately being on a student budget and gas the price it is, going to the track just doesn't fit the budget too well.

Re: Me VS 'Them'

i Agree with that...my little old Cavalier won't quit messing up, its something simple every time...but oh well...I'm thinking about putting a 2.8 turbo in it and fix it up.

Ummm...thanks, just so you know, the kill at hand here is this one:

Quote:
Before i can even motion the '3-2-1' this jackass takes off! So i hit it and we're off.

Now unfortunately my car hasn't any low end power...it's not 'til gear 2 kicks in that i get my true power happening.

So he takes me off the line (obviously, he cheated, but i'm making my way!) and he's got about a car and a half on me. This stays consistent until my 2nd gear kicked in.

That car and a half advantage for him narrowed rather swiftly, and we got side to side. As my speedometer neared 85km/h and 3rd gear was about it take over we began to enter a corner, in his favour.

So i'm thinking 'dammit..he's got the inside la...' and before i can even finish my thought, my good ol' trusty top gear kicked in. Despite him having the inside through this long corner, i powered ahead. His front bumper was back by my rear door, and stayed there all the way to 150km/h when i let up
