Re: Wow, insurance sucks

eh Jspec watch your tongue and dont insult my "family" k? first off no my family is actually very intelligent, its just me and my mom. Im the one who fucked the insurance up by getting so many wrecklass tickets and totalling my camaro. It wasnt that high to begin with it started off at around $450 a month. I have a horrible driving record and I just got my license back after 6 months yesterday. And its partially my state and the fact that I use progressive. But yeah I know Im paying out the ass for insurance, its completely my fault but seriously dude learn to show abit more respect k?

$500 a month was for full coverage. It's like $150 a month for the minimum. I would get insured under my parent's name, but then I'd have to live at my parent's house, or have the car in their name. Either way, I can't do it.

Re: Wow, insurance sucks

guys, i pay 80 a month, im 16, and have a ticket already(in the first two weeks i had my license, goin 45 in a 25.). i dont have a student discount, or a premium drivers discount. i thought the 80 was high but holy fuck, 850 bucks?? thats fuckin insane, that would take me lets see, 5 months to save up, and thats not even paying for anything else such as gas or car payments

Re: Wow, insurance sucks

You guys need to move out of Cali, I'm in GA, I had my DL suspended for speeding, got t-bone by some old guy and was busted for driving on a suspended DL, and then 3 speeding tickets 29 above, 31 and 34 above, I was 21 and they gave me a quote of 450 a month for full coverage................ I sold the car last moth. Not too many 240s' here so Ins is very cheap.

I've found that it kinda depends on what ins company you choose.

When I was 17-ish, living in Kentucky, I had Liberty Mutual for my 300ZX 2+2 (which is the slow one) while I was living at home and in school. I took all the driving classes and all that crap, had the bare bones coverage, and STILL paid ~$230/mo. Then I moved to Florida and got some little company to insure me...only ~$120 a month for the same damn thing. If you go with the big companies, you get reemed...geico, progressive, etc...screw that. I'm on my parent's policy NOW in my cheap ass little slug of a beater car and I STILL have to pay ~$120 a month and I'll be 21 in less then 2 months. I got a quote for whatever minimum coverage I'd need if I leased a 350Z from geico or something just for the hell of it and it was an astronomical ~$600 a month. Insurance is a fucking conspiracy.

Why some people get off so easy (Zdude and kaos2tru) and I get screwed, I'll never know...and it pisses me off. I have a very clean record...I'm almost 21 years old, I passed driving school before I got my license, went to a driver's course thing for a ticket once, have no points on my license, haven't had a ticket in ~2 years, never been in an accident, and the tickets (2) I did have were very minor...and one of them I went to court for and got dropped.
