i dont think anyone was flamming him, but 120 MPH in a 45MPH, thats just not safe. Thats the kind of reckless driving that will turn you and someone else into another statistic. I mean im all for street racing at 12AM in the morning on an empty road, but i still wouldnt take my speed above 100 MPH. And it was just funny how he said it, like he doesnt like people going fast down his street, so he did the same thing. . .

Wonder why people flame?
From the looks of it, the only way to stop it is to have all races end the way the maganize numbers say it should. Forget the driver. Forget the conditions. Don't take anything into account other then what people have seen in news articles.The last few years have had spurts of flaming because of narrow views and small minds. Its to bad their ranks have swollen ![]()

yep, i 've seen enough racing to were i know the driver is a serious factor, the biggest factor.

good kill. a VR4 in the street will almost definitly take a C5 vette off the line and if hte driver of hte C5 is not perfect. and if the vette wasn't racing then the vette would quit a bit more then a few cars behind the vr-4 at 120mph. ( unless the c5 feels like cruising at 115mph, which i highly doubt ) and for those whos never raceds a AWD car from a stop, they are monsters off the line. my friend always takes me by around 3 cars off the line in his STi or EVO 8. and this is in the streets where the roads aren't sticky like a tracks and has dust, so the AWD will have even more of a advantage here.

Not to belittle your win, but you beat the driver not the vette! Either way a win is a win. Shows that women shouldn't be behind the wheel's of cars like that!

I don't understand why people are thinking that vettes are unbeatable. This race has gotten flamed more than when I posted my encounter about the C5. Just remember that there are several factors in a race like that, it's not just all about horsepower.

Nice kill i yet still have to beat a vette. I just cant quite get one. How come i never get somebody in a new C5 vette that cant drive. It would make my day
. So you bad vette drivers out thier lol come find me i want to beat you.

well if thats the case just say to the guy revving next to you "hey on paper i'm faster than you so there is no reason to race" BS, 2 cars that are similar in performance when they race they one, no ifs ands or buts. like i said i've seen vettes run slower times than 13.5 and i'm sure igovert500 with a couple more runs could get 13.4 stock. check r&t they got the vette at 13.4 on the other hand moter trend has it at 13.0. meaning its about the driver and if one driver can't drive perfect but ok then so what he won. don't bring paper numbers into a kill, he won, end of story.
