Re: 93 Civic HB w/h22 swap vs. Prelude with minor mods?

Damir, i may be a newb, but i don't think it's nice to be a dick to people who are trying to learn about cars. That's my opinion, and yes, i know what an H22a comes out of, and i know it's nowhere near coming out of a grocery getter, and the NSX's come with a 6 cylinder DOHC, while a D15b is a little poopy SOHC that comes in little non-performance oriented civics. Why do you have to be such an ass to people that want to learn about cars? Just my 2 cents.

I was reading through this thread exploding inside.. then pretty much figured it was all joking.

Dacus, heavy Preludes are slow. An H22 in your hatchback will give you a lot of power while still retaining descent handling if you get a nice suspension set. My car gets up going pretty quick and it only has about 190-195hp and 120-125tq. Your torque advantage will get your car into low 14's/high 13's if launched correctly.

And MunG35, I was just fuckin' with you, I thought you knew that. Don't take it personal. I said I agree with the guy above, you will walk on pretty much almost any stock Honda.

Re: Re: 93 Civic HB w/h22 swap vs. Prelude with minor mods?

dude whats wrong with these people. sohc motors rule!!! the d15b is the secret JDM motor that nobody knows about yet. it is a 1.5 liter monster pushing 250hp and 195 lb/ft of torque. it was used the in civic type s that can only be found in certain scenes of "2 Fast 2 Furious" it would destroy any h22 swapped civic.

hey i have a sohc motor in my car and i have beat h22's like they stole my money. but then again i dont have a honda. and i do have this pretty little box in my engine bay that makes a very strange whining sound
