Re: will a 4th gen dash fit in a 3rd gen car?

Whats the difference theres shitty versions of every car around. I hate seeing 4th gens all decked out in rk sport trim all backed up by a fancy set of wheels and a boat anchor v6.
Why should it be surprising that 3rd gens are cheaper, they are older and arent worth as much big deal. Theres still convertables and low mileage nice optioned cars for sale for 10k.

true, but not everyone wants a v8. some people build cars for show. ok yea there might be 3rd gens for sale for 10k or whatever but that doesnt mean people buy them.

Re: will a 4th gen dash fit in a 3rd gen car?

Sure people buy them. If you know what you have and its a rare optioned car its worth money. Not as much as a rare 1st gen but its only going to increase in value.

Re: will a 4th gen dash fit in a 3rd gen car?

yeah, but it will never be as much money worth as the others, 3rd gen by far was the ugliest, and the least powerful cmon the 98 v6 can smoke an IROC, so did my neighbor buy a 3rd gen v6, he said he liked the 4th gen, couldnt afford it so he got the lowest, a v6 3rd gen, its pretty damn ugly, only the ttops are nice, thats the only thing...

Re: will a 4th gen dash fit in a 3rd gen car?

When the airbag goes off it busts through the cover so you cant really pop it back on. You can try to glue it back down but it probably wont look too good.

How is it that a 98 v6 can smoke an iroc??? The 5.7L came with 245 hp and 345 torque. The TTA was even faster.

just like the factory one

I have installed a 35th Anaversary dash into my 1982 Camaro. There are some mods that must be done. but it looks really cool. I will upload some pictures of the dash in my gallary. The car is still a work in progress but I'm getting there.

Re: will a 4th gen dash fit in a 3rd gen car?

Why argue over which car is better? So the lower optioned 3rd gens were a little slow as were most cars in those years. But I like the later 3rd gen look. I like the later 4th gen look. Not that the earlier ones looked bad but it took gm a couple years to get them right imo. But both cars are still great cars. Obviously the 3rd gen is cheaper cuz its getting quite old. So will all of the 4th gens when they get to be 14 or 15 years old. I think that it would be cool to fit a 4thgen dash into a 3rd gen. It would be a cool customization. Id like the leather seats.

I dont care what people say about 3rd gens though my car is sexy and mean. Usually a bad combination but with cars it works.

Re: will a 4th gen dash fit in a 3rd gen car?

damn theres a bunch of haters in here. a camaros a camaro. damn some of us arent loaded and dont like the space ship look all that much. i love the 3rd gen look but i do also like the 4th gen look just not as much, but i do think with a sweet body kit they can get looking like the 85 corvettes which i just love. and if i had a 4th gen it would def need that body kitt cause im not too fond of the stock look. but third gens are just plain and bad ass. we dont need fancy stuff to smoke people. plus hey its almost a classic

Re: will a 4th gen dash fit in a 3rd gen car?

This would be pretty cool:

4th gen leather seats, console, dash, ls1, t-56, rear end, and brakes....its almost a perfect camaro. Old styling new technology.....But thats almost 10000 dollars in modifications so ......yeah.....still cool

Has anyone noticed this thread is 14 months old?

And -= c a m a r o =- is racist why would you care what he has to say? He probably thinks we should bring back slavery too. Is this someone's opinion anyone really cares about?
