Re: Hate It

1. lack of engine detail in the tamiya and fujimi kits and others.

2. waiting for things you order offline.

All the "haters" and rivet counters who end up pushing folks away from their hobbies.

That and the lack of a really good 2-pac clear that is non-toxic and safe for ALL decals.

Great I can tell you my story
- First of all I just HATE that I can't buy ANY Tamiya model or color or anything in my coutry becouse we don't have Tamiya dealer
- We don't have ANY of Japan or American (Monogram, Ertl) kit
- In whole country we only have A FEW stores with Testors-ModelMaster paint and even tho I can't get the paint I want (today I went in LHS with a list of 5 colors - didn't het even one )
- Most of the rare paint are at least 5 years old
- We don't have ANY acrylics - just enamels (I got one acryl from Heller but I found it in warehouse and the paint is about 7-8 years old)
- In whole country we don't have white or grey platic primer (we have DupliColors primers, but no white or grey).
- I asked LHS salesman if they can order photoetched parts and he asked 'What is that?'
- All Scale Model cars awailable here doesn't exceed number 15.

There! You all should be grateful for what you all have

Re: Hate It

Having to pay twice the price that I can get a model from HLJ for here in Australia.
And the fact that the local distributors dont bring half the kits into the country.
No Revell Tuners, very rare to get Nascars, dragcars or L.Ed releases.

mate i would go crazy where do you live, i thought its bad in australia trying to get stuff. a revell kit in Australia is now around $27.96 u.s
instead of the us price $11.00 what a rip off and unfortunatly its not the shops but the wholesalers to blame.

Re: Hate It

I hate the fact that
Every Tamiya rally and DTM cars cost US$40-US$45
Every Revell cost US$28-$30
Every Tamiya TS paints cost US$10

@phase5:
I am going crazy! And I can do nothing about it.
And 'bout the Revell. Revell is from Italy which is our neighbour country and we have the same prices of Revell's kits - $25-30. That sucks bigtime!

Re: Hate It

i would start, but there is waaaayyyy to much stuff to list.
the big ones are;
1. the lack of fujimi jap sports cars avaiable from both my LHS' (bloody Australia, we get very few good models here )
2. lack of photoetch parts (and when my LHS has them they sell out jsut before i get back there with the cash)
3. slicing open my finger with my x-acto knife (my fault but its still a hobby hate)
laters, WIDE
