Re: 98 elect window prob
You are recieving an intermittant short to ground somewhere in the door lock circuit. It may be in the switches, wiring, or the GEM module.

Taurus Windows Diagnosing
Hi there,
Well, I have the same window problem with my 2000 Taurus. Driver side window went down and wont come back up. I'm applying the Irish30 diagnostic technique but I'm running into something that was not previously mentioned. I have checked the continuity on the switches and everything checked out fine. I've now looked at the voltage levels on the harness and although the passenger side records about 12V the driver side does not record any voltage levels. I've replaced the large relay and still no voltage level, anyone have any thoughts to what it might be? Thanks jfm |
