yeah thats a sketchy one, depends on how bad the fire was i suppose, if the guys willing to work with ya, take the heads off that one to a machine shop and have em check em out. if they are ok, not warped or anything, keep em, they should be fine, if they dont check out ok, exchange em like the guy said you could with the 906 castings.

never heard of that before. im a gm tech, and certainly never seen one in for that before. they have typical gm intake leaks, but not very common, not like the V6 engines. the engine i got had a coolant leak, but all that happend was the lifters collapsed and the bearings died. but the rest was solid.

aye would you happen to know the cost of the #062's i got a friend that works for chevy hes gunna find out but i was just currious , i might have him just buy me a new set
i think its like cost plus 10%

should be around 525.oo for a pair, regular cost. i dont know if employee discount applies to things like heads and engines.

yeah i remember they were that price a while ago, but from what ive seen the complete sets have gone up in price, but hey man, if you find em cheaper, run with it
