Re: zc drag times

My buddy keeps up with me in his zc-swapped '91 Si hatchback, up until vtec and the later gears. I don't think he'll ever even see 15's in the 1/4 until he slaps some boost on her.

I sure as hell wouldnt, 130HP is alot more fun to have under the hood than 70HP, and around here we dont have to go through any inspection/smog crap. only have ot have it inspected if it comes from another state, and still no smog, just inspection. and I didnt put the DOHC ZC into the car, got it like that, the kid blew his stock CX motor with nitrous(funniest thing ive heard for a long time was nitrous on a 70 hp civic) then got the ZC. and the kid couldnt get it running so I got it cheap, ended up taking me 10 minutes to get it to fire up but then fuel cut at 3k cuz of no CAS, so I took my B20 distributor and a bit of ingenuity and I got it running to the redline of the P06 I stole from a parts civic.

Id already got used to, then bored of my cars performance with the ZC pretty quickly, id probably have killed myself if I was trying to drive it around wiht a 70HP 1.5 under the hood

and Ive seen a crx with a ZC with boltons that my friend was playing with and Id bet it ran somewhere in the mid 15's cuz it was almost always dead even unless one person got the jump then theyd win. and his car is a mid 15 second car.

Thats pretty decent runs!

I ran a 9.58 @ 78 mph last time at the track with a very shitty 2.37 60'. The track prep was crappy as hell!
