Re: Does this sound right?

ok well, i am paying him $500 up front, we are gonna go to the dyno together and if he doesn't get between 200-240ponies, he's gonna keep tuning until he reaches or do what he has to do. And then i make him weekly payments of $50.

tell me now if i shouldn't do it......
And its hard for me to tell who knows what b/c he has a datsun 280z with 600+hp with FI...done all by himself, so i can't exactly say he doesn't know his shiet......and yes, i have ridden in it!

I'm not saying its exactly worth the money. But its quite an interesting project. For that money though, its not exactly a bad deal. People might call you an idiot for doing it, but i'm gonna go ahead and give you a thumbs up on the deal, simply because i wanna see the results of it.

You should make a bet though, if he can't make it to 250whp. He gives you half your money back.

And if he does...lets just say you owe him a special favor

Re: Does this sound right?

he guarantees 200hp minimum,240hp maximum.
I would give him the $500 up front and at the dyno, we would see who is right. If he doesn't get it to 200hp, i either get my money back or i let him keep doing what he does until he reaches his goal.....

i mean, is about 90+hp worth $1000? if he can accomplish this?

Re: Does this sound right?

maybe, just maybe in a shot in the dark he may be able to pull 200hp out of his ass or something, but go for it, i like the idea that if he cant come through for you, you get half your money back, whats their to lose?
