It's a pretty easy kit to build up. The only thing to watch for is the fit of the "glass" for the side, rear passenger windows. It's supposed to just snap into place but it's VERY tight! Be careful and try not to allow too much paint to build up in that area.
I just did mine up box stock and lowered it a bit, added a SAS wing and other minor details. Paint colors are from House Of Kolor - Tangelo Pearl with Sunrise Pearl faded along the bottom edge. Here's a few pics:

CarModDave, i would have to say that you got some serious skills. i like how you did the civic, especially the bellypan/undercarriage. quick question, for the suspension pieces, what type of chrome paint did you use?

I appreciate the kind words. The Civic was a fun kit to do. The only drawback is those irritating little screws that fasten the chassis to the interior/body.
As for the chrome on the chassis parts, it's Alclad II.

looks real nice. i read a couple of posts on here about how alclad II rubs off easily. did you overcome this and if so how? what kind of black basecoat did you use?

I've never had a problem with it rubbing off. I guess because I try not to handle the parts too much after applying the Alclad.
I use the basecoat that is recommended by the manufacturer - Testor's Gloss Black ENAMEL. Either the regular Gloss Black or the Model Master works equally well.

Thanks. I think it turned out pretty well, too!
The "chrome" on the chassis and suspension parts is Alclad II that was applied with an airbrush as per Alclad's instructions.
The extra chrome under the hood - the strut brace and airbox - were covered with Bare Metal Foil.
Here's how I lowered it:For the front suspension I just removed one coil from each of the front strut springs, as well as the mounting pin. I then drilled the top of each strut and attatched a new mounting pin made from piano wire. Also, the mounting points on the chassis for the front subframe needed to be adjusted. On each of the front subframe mounting points, I removed the same amount of plastic as the width of the coils that were removed from the front struts. This enabled the front end to be lowered just right! For the rear suspension, I also removed one coil from the rear strut springs and made a new mounting pin. On the rear suspension arms, a bit of plastic was removed from the flat portion of the bottom surface where the rear suspension mounts to the area of the chassis just behind the fuel tank. Some minor tweaking was needed but I think the stance is much improved over stock. This should lower your overall suspension just enough to give the model some much needed "attitude"!

If I were to build the kit (and I probably will, along with a matching Civic Hatchback)... I'd probably do it in a JDM fashion.

-black headlight housings
-no chrome "Altezza" taillights, only black/carbon fiber
-no chrome wheels
-very little chrome in the engine-bay.
-lower the car as low as it will go (tuck the wheels), without a "lowrider" stance.

Yes, I realize that, and the JDM taillights also arn't "Altezzas", are they?.... the taillights on the civics are Chrome housing altezzas. Mine won't be chrome, they'll be black/cb/smoke.

the inside of the housing has a mirror finish but its certainly no where near altezzas. the altezza style got circular red reflectors inside the housing. you take that red reflector off and you get a whole circle housing inside the actual housing. that doesnt look anything near oem taillights with the reflector taken off.
