nope 4.10 need this kit reguardless of what it came from the factory. ive looked into getting 4.10 adn intstall guides all over the net.

haha, i get mad easily over stupid shit sometimes, i was torquein my head bolts and the ratchet slipped off and i busted my hand on the heater core thing and i beat the fuck out of it with a hammer

LOL!!! really now i got ya beat! i was replacin my radiator in my 84 camaro and i almost got it out then my hand got cut up bad by the condenscer... soooo (its an emty R-4 system) i take out the condencer and take a sledge hammer, cinder block brick to it, toss it 20 feet in the air and bent it in half! lets say that condenscer saw my bad side ^.^;;

Richmond doesnt say anything about spacers or paddles. Just on which series carrier is used. 3.08 and lower or 3.23 and higher. The paddles SLP sells are for the governor style posi units. Sounds like it just wasnt set up correctly.

heater core is in the cab you must mean the radiator or condenser

my friends can always tell when im workin on my car, cause there are always parts scattered throughout my front yard. when something is a bitch to take out then it flies into the yard. when i did my exhaust i blew up the old muffler with fireworks...

yea it might have been the condinsor, i dunno, its on the firewall right in the way of the back head bolts, i jus took the mangled thing out and put sheet metal over the holes, haha i have parts all over my garage, i took out the old wiring harness and all the parts and wires are all over the garage... lol

what about a bent axle tube? would that cause enough heat to hear on the spyder gears, and cause the ring gear to get hot enough to break, and cause all the seals to get burnt?

Probably not. You would be wearing out axle bearings and there would be a bad wear pattern on the axle from the bearing.
