Search for boost creep, especially on DSMtuners.com. DO you know that this post is 11 months old?

Re: What are your opinions on the EVO3 16g?

I'd rather see him add his question here than start yet another thread on boost creep. But the only thing in common with the thread is the 16g, which is almost unrelated to the boost creep At any rate, I know I've posted extensively about it in this very forum Mike, try a search using this forum and my user name as search criteria, and see if you dont come up with some helpful information. If while reading one of those threads you have a specific question about some aspect of it, by all means feel free to post the question in that thread. I would rather keep all the boost creep questions in a boost leak thread, as it will make it easier for others like yourself to find more information in future searches. Enjoy.

Re: What are your opinions on the EVO3 16g?

lets say you get a exturnal waste gate and you have a turbo with a inturnal wate gate, do you just take the vacume line off the inturnal one and put it on the exturnal ? . or do you need to weld the flapper shut or somthing like that?

LMAO...

you are probably going to get some boost creep. when i mach it out and get up to ~140mph [ping the speed limiter] i'm well above where my boost is set at. and my EGT is over the warn light too. so i've got 2 red warning lights staring at me. stupid creep.

If the external gate is manifold mounted, you weld the flapper shut. If it is O2 housing mounted you remove the flapper and fist it with your die grinder. I have run manifold mounted gates while still retaining the stock flapper and actuator out of laziness, but it still blew open. Wiring it shut stopped boost from dropping, as evidence.
