Re: Door Panel Removal
Take the clip tool and push it behind the crank.Make sure your behind the crank and not the washer that is behind the crank.Hold the tool still and push inward, turn the crank, you will feel it go into the groove that the clip is in.Make sure you hold your finger over the opposite end of the crank in case the clip flies out.Now pull and wiggle the handle towards yourself and poof it will come off. There is no need for rags, knifes, etc.

Re: Door Panel Removal
unless you dont have a clip tool like some of us do, then it's as simple as using a rag. the idea is to get the job done and not have to buy all the tools for just one use.

Re: Door Panel Removal
I lost my removal tool, so today I did it with a flathead screwdriver and a very small allen wrench.

remember, some of the people on here dont even know what a clip remover or a panel remover look like or do. They are just looking for a way to get a job done with what they have on hand. don't tell me you've never improvised a repair.

Re: Door Panel Removal
So theoretically all i have to do is buy the tool, put it behind the crank, turn the handle until it clicks into place and then wiggle some more and it shsould come off?? Is that right??
