welcome to polotics and scheming governments. we been subject to this kinda shit for years in England. if its in the public eye then they will cough up, but if noone notices, then you get fuk all of them. if you dont already realise this, the governments dont give a crap about the people, they are out for their own interests. they are as bad as any criminal, they will scrounge every last penny/cent they can but they wont let the taxpayers get near it.

Question

Police and Firefighters know that they have dangerous jobs. That is why they get paid well for the work they do. As part of their benefits package, their families get big life insurance payoffs!!! So why are you mad, T?

probably cos those guys didnt need to be in that building. they came from all over NYC to rush in to that building to save lives, and they are gonna get next to nothing for their bravery and courage, whereas some rich multi millionaires will gonna get perhaps a million or when he/she got caught up in the whole thing by accident

Summed it up nicely there, buddy. The people who were asked to try and resolve the situation, and rescue the rich folk at the top, knowing that they had to deliberately put themselves in harm's way should be recognised as heroes. As for the concept that they were well-paid for the risk - bullshit! I CAN EARN JUST AS MUCH MAKING CHEESE.Add to that the total inadequacy of training and preparation those guys had for a major catastrophe, and it's real easy to argue that they were let down badly...I mean, seriously, what idiot wrote the procedure? "ERRR..Big plane just hit a huge building...there will be people needing help, park as close to the building as you can,and try to get to the topbefore the top gets to ground level............."

I can't believe that this thread is still live after all this time.

And yes , I went to Stoke once. It was closed.

What is going on! In Britain, Labour increases the amount of Tax you have depending on your salary! I mean come on! And especially on a sensitive subject like that!
