Re: Integra GSR vs. Prelude VTEC
Yeah, I guess that your right, but I like the integras much better than the preludes.

Re: Integra GSR vs. Prelude VTEC
when my lude was still stock, the only GSR I ever lost to was one that was shooting 50 shot. I tied a 94' GSR with AEM cai, DC 4-1, and a Greddy cat back. And the other victims, saw either my back rims or my tail lights.

you must be a pro at driving, because when i got my intake and exhaust i noticed a nice difference when my engine was breathing fire at 8000 rpms, before intake/ exhaust it felt almost like my car had asthma, and the only gsr ever to "tie" you had i/h/e ha! good one

the ATTS (Active Tourque Transfer System) is only in the Prelude Type SH. Overall, both cars are very similar stock to stock. The newer ludes will pull a bit over the gsr, but overall they are similar.. It's down to choice at that point, and perhaps mods you plan on.

Re: Integra GSR vs. Prelude VTEC
buy the GSR, and you'll wish you had the preludes torque, looks, and orginality
buy the prelude and you'll wish you had the GSR's lighter weight, and greater aftermarket support. all things considered, after consulting with my mech, my friends, and my dad (with the exception of my mech, none of these are experts, but merely enthusiasts) we all decided the 97-01 preludes are the way to go. heres why they are better stock given equal mods, they still make more power (and looking at what you want to do mod wise, you'll never get the GSR into the preludes power range) they look cooler there are less of them prelude owners are a tighter knit group and thus cooler to hang with and, on the whole, intregras are cop magnets. preludes (while not by much) are a little more inconspicuous

Re: Integra GSR vs. Prelude VTEC
Both cars are really great cars and are almost on a even playing field when compared for perfromance. I do have to say that the prelude looks a little more "grown up" if you will. But this topic has been brought up before and it turned into a big flame war, please guys let's not let it happen again.

With the swap, I'll have to buy a header and since I already have an exhaust, the only thing I'd lack would be an intake. He has some 7" inch wide rims which weigh considerably less than my 6.5" wide stockies that weigh 22lbs a piece. We both have pretty much the same suspension setup for our cars, as well as the same exhaust system (greddy evo). With the H22s displacement, it should take to the exhaust modification a little better than the b18. I don't know if he has a highflow cat right now, but I'll ask. It would be a pretty comparable race if you ask me..
