Talking Saleen

the S7 looks like a modified version of the McLaren F1

Personally, why not go for the F1 > more class

They look similar for the same reason that F1 cars all look nearly the same. Its function. That is the efficient shape for a high speed car. They both spent a lot of time in the wind tunnel.

And class? Thats objective.

Saleen could do better

Look at the Saleen it has so many scoops, vents, and rough edges that it just looks way to busy to me. If you want a mid engine rear srive supercar, go for the Jaguar XJ220. Its body is so much smoother and it has extreme power to back it up. It has almost 550 hp 0-60 in 3.7 seconds, 0-100 in 7.3 seconds and a top speed of 218 mph!!!

Certainly a great looking car, but I have two concerns.

1) What makes this worth nearly $400,000 when similar beauty and specs can be had for less ?

2) It seems so low to the ground, how does anyone drive this on anything but a perfect road ? My Diablo is also low, but considerably higher than the S-7 and the Diablo has a push button to raise the nose 4 cm if you happen to encounter a problem getting out of or into a bad driveway.

Still, the S-7 seems to be a stunning car and I look forward to hearing from anyone lucky enough to get one.

..slag..

Saleen S7 - $375k New
Jaguar XJ220 good condition - £125-£130

for price you cannot compete wit the Jaguar!
