Even a t25 wont spool very quick on just two half liter cylinders A single turbo will make more power than 2 t25/28s, etc. I'm not sure the extra complication is worth it. People have done this in the past, and its always for sale on ebay at some point But its good to see people actually doing things, not just talking about them... So I give credit for that. I just wish that more people that try this would post the results for power and lag.

I've been talking to alot of tuners and they say the same thing but I'm planning to turn it into a sequention set up. A small turbo for the initial take off and a much larger one to kick in later. We've addressed air flow, heat, space, benifits, and downfalls. We may have come up with a solution for that.
Remember that no one has actuslly seen a twin turbo 4 banger, so all this is just speculation. Once we have it up and running we'll post the results and measure if it's even worth having. But it does look cool though.>>>>

Re: Twin Turbo GSX.

The trouble with a sequential setup is you would need to drive both turbos with all 4 runners, not each turbo off two runners. Otherwise the load on the motor isnt balanced. The tough part then becomes how do you control the sequential action itself. The comp, icated system in the 3rd gen rx7 should give some insight to what is required. I have seen twin turbo 4 bangers, I believe all setup in parrelel, not sequential.

Either way, I like custom projects like this. Be sure to post updates on it

i was thinking about doing somthing like this for my GST... what i would do is use either a T25 or a 14b to spool up a much larger turbo such as a T4 or maybe somthing bigger! like in the GT range... what do you thing... would i see some major boost, i have seen this set up on and eclipse befor and the car went like hell and it sounded cool too not to mention the looks! but i was just looking for some input?

Re: Twin Turbo GSX.

When you consider how much power people make on large but perfectly spoolable turbos, I just cant justify the added complication of a sequential system. But it would be a fun, challenging project just the same. I have been planning on building my own 3" throttlbody for that reason. The challenge. Plus the fact that there are ZERO good throttlebody options out there... Custom projects are a good time if you can justify the expense, especially if it doesnt work out in the end!
