This thread seems to be a terrific illustration of how individualistic people in this hobby tend to be.

It's also a depressingly effective demonstration of why so few new kits are made!!! If I were a model company executive, this thread would have me pulling my hair out! Each of us reply with our own mostest favoritest car that we so desperately want (and we all have oppinions!), and with very few exeptions, THEY'RE ALL DIFFERENT! This is definately not meant as a critisism of car builders- model building is a terrific venue for the expression of individual creativity- but imagine being Mr. Tamiya, trying to decide what car to bet his next $100,000 on will sell as a 1/24 kit. It's obviously much cheaper, easier, and faster to put an old out of production kit back into production, but we quickly prove here that even on preexisting kits, there's just no concensus! There shouldn't be- but try to make money on our rabid yet fickle bunch of enthusiasts!

I'd like to see some truck/SUV kits:

Aoshima Range Rovers. I have aquired two, and these are great. The ones in particular would be those with the off road accessories. Also, a few of the older Hilux and Hilux Surf (4Runner) kits would be nice too.

From Revell, I'd like to see the F-350 duallie back in production (or really, I'd rather see a newer duallie tooled up) and also the big Ford Aeromax kit. My prayers have been answered for one though, the car transport trailer is about to be reissued.

True, but even though I only chose one kit that I actively wanted reissued, there are about a doezen or so mentioned by others that I would also buy. And there are a few that pop up over and over again, and I refrained from a couple because they were already mentioned. Ou opinions differ off the top of our heads, but cars like Tamiya's NSX and others would make a killing if reissued even if we can't think that we want them offhand. What the companies should do is look on eBay and see which of their OOP kits are going for twice their original cost or so.... then reissue those. The companies aren't making profit off the stuff changing hands from modeller to modeller, they should cash in. We would get kits cheaper, they would make profit. Everyone but the kit speculator wins.

Modelers did an RS200???? Man, wish I'd known about that. The RS200 is my second favorite Group B rally car ever.

My favorite is the Lancia O34. Pretty car. Thanks Hasegawa.

I want Hasegawa to reissue the 1/12 300ZX Twin turbo model. I can't find it anywhere. Also, even though it's an RC model, I'd like to see the 1/10 IMSA 300ZX get reissued.
