what is a 2.5ts pray tell?
and i apologize LS1, i see what you are looking at...
what makes you think an imprezza w/170 will run that?
is the 170 whp like a wrx has (227 is crank hp) or what? and how did you get 170hp outta that motor at the wheels with out a turbo?

Oh, ok. I figured you misunderstood.

He's saying he has 170 at the flywheel, because there's no way it has that at the wheels. A WRX has 227 at the flywheel.

That's why I don't believe him, at all.

I think this race is really going to be a Schwinn vs. a Huffy...

Just wanted to say that your car is gorgeous, Blacksnake. Though I love the grudging competition of Stangs vs. F-bodies, I can't deny the beauty and power of a car such as yours.

Is it impossible to get that much power out of a WRX? Nope, it can be done, but you know he is lying because if he had that much power he would be getting a lot better than 16 second runs, even if he is dumber than a load of bricks; which he is, and has no idea how to race.

Thanks LS1, I appreciate that. I am also a big fan of the LS1, and the WS6...

Blackbird...Ouch on a 13.7 stock??? If I took my car out bone-stock, lowered the tire pressure to 25psi, iced the intake, removed the air silencer, launched at 7000rpm, and shifted at redline, I would net around a 13.9 in good conditions. Damn the General and those pushrod 350cid's...:

Remember, this is a 1998 Z28, not SS; it has only about 305-310 HP stock. And twas not I that took her down the track; she is a recent acquisition and I haven't taken her myself yet, but the previous owner had taken her a few times (older man) and his best netted time stock was a 13.686 when he first got the car. I think his 60 ft was a 2.0, but I don't remember. Come spring, I predict runs about 13.4 or so, since she now has a Flowmaster muffler on it, and I know I can hook better...plus, she's got a few more miles on her (38,000) so she's broken in fully.

What motor do you have in your car? I'm sorry. When I see good drivers running stock WRX's to low 14 second times and you say you can run a high 14, I don't believe you. Even with these times you post, I'm sorry, I can't say I believe you. Maybe with an exhaust, cold air intake, and a 50 shot you could pull high to mid 14's, in either a 2.2 or 2.5 naturally aspirated Subaru Boxer engine.

high 14s is when im lucky, good and cold weather, u know, perfect run, although those were with a passenger like i said. normally i hit low 15s, like 15.2-15.3. keep in mind its a ***** to launch an awd car when it doesnt have much power like the 170hp 170 fp/t mine has, and the 200 or so street and strip races ive been in have taught me how to avoid letting the awd bog the engine down, i can take an average driver in a wrx from launch, but hell just end up passing me.

Blacksnake, my car didn't run a 13.7 stock....
When I first got the car it would run consistent 13.1s all day long.
I iced the intake, lowered tire pressure, ran on less then 1/4 tank of gas and pulled off a [email protected] with a 2.0 60' time.
