Yeah do right under the speed limit. A lot of cops are idiots and will ride your bumper to make you speed up. Do what I do and slam on the breaks when they get to close. ya man whenever i got a cop riding my ass i slow down real quick without using the brakes, i just stick it in first have my hand on the emergency brake and come to a nice quick stop, and then take my sweet time looing left and right then zoom of in first, and with my shit car, it sounds like im going a lot faster then i really am, after i do that once or twice they usally stop following me, but anyways man read ur story, and i have to say that sucks, after the first ticket i would have just gone home, but thats me

Yeah i was going to go home but at first it was a warning. And i figured we get somethin to eat and id go home but i dunno. Should of went hoe but crusin is so much fun.

I think what im going to do to piss off the cops is take the rear section of my muffler of, and keep it in a lower gear and cruise up and down the streets.

Thats bullshit, do what my friend chris did, when a cop is following you and your doing the speed limit, to get back at them, hit the brakes and e-brake it hard,if they smash into you, tell them you thoght you saw a dear or a child about to go into the street, legally(in MD) any car behind you by law has to be a minimum of 5 car lenths or something behind you. When the cop got out and chris told him he saw a deer the cop couldnt do shit cause he was riding our ass, and he got a new rear bumber and like $600 from the police department.

Do you guys realize that doing shit like this "to" the cops only makes it worse "for" us!

First, by intentionally pissing them off you are making them look at every Honda with a wing, ground kit, tinted windows, chrome wheels, cat back, or whatever other mod...as a trouble maker and should be followed or harrassed, those "mods" are the first indicator to them to watch your car...

Second, by putting (insert mod here) on your car it does not make you indestructable. It makes you stand out, it makes you obvious, and it makes you the first target of the cops...why do you think so many sleeper cars get left alone?

Third, by making the cops rear end you, you are not just hurting them...you are hurting everyone. Why? Because it won't be the police department's that pay for the damage...it will be their insurance company. This will be one more 'claim' in all of the unnecessary claims that are causing insurance rates to skyrocket! So big deal, you get a new bumper, and a little cash...but the next time your insurance is up for renewal it goes up substantially because you were an a-hole and pulled your emergency brake causing a cop to run into you...in the long run...you pay for it anyway.

Fourth, and last....sweet geezuz you guys...go back and read your post before you hit "submit"!! Odds are...if you have a hard time reading it because of the mistakes...then so will we...

Actually your insurance rates shouldn't go up if someone rear ends you. Their insurance has to pay, not yours. Also if the cop hits you it is going to have an effect. I bet he won't ride anyones bumper again. Another method is to have a video camera. Tape your speed, the speed limit sign, and then look out the rear and show that they are riding you. Try to get their tag number on the front, if they are to close slow down and take off to get it. Or just turn and get the plate numbet. Then make a copy and take it to the police station and speak to the field officer.

I get followed all the time... but there's a reason for that...

Last time I was being followed... when I stopped at a stop sign, I got out of my car and walked back to the cops car and knocked on his window and was like "Is there a reason you're following me?" and he was like "I wasn't following you, we just happen to be going the same direction" and I was like "Now, is there a reason you're lying to me? Because I've driven in circles a couple of times to make sure you were following me. If you're going to pull me over... go ahead... if you're going to search my car.. go ahead... if not... QUIT FOLLOWING ME... wait and catch me in a speed trap like everyone else.. I can't very well speed with you riding my tail." and he was kinda speechless and ended up pulling around me like he was going to another call.
The cops in my town are pricks, but they know me all too well (let me tell ya, NEVER date a cops daughter).

Good point mang. But i'd worked with a lot of cops only made me hate them more before i worked with them i just disliked them for being "the man" now i won't give them the time of day. I know there are good cops out there. But most are in it for the badge and the gun thats all they have that they think there better then you not there to help. Those cops are the ones that give all others a bad name. Sadly true and not the only time the cops did stuff like that either.
OK for those who want a story of why i feel this way i'll give you one.
At a car wreck my firehouse was at the cops showed up and just got there info then sat around talking and making jokes. Was he the one pulling a fucking 8 yr old outta a mangled E-pillar *pass side A piller* no hes out there making jokes about death and what not while i'm fucking helping move a body. I know its not there job to help but you don't sit there and laugh about some lil kid dying.

Actually yes...you will. His insurance will definately go up instantly because he has an "at fault" claim against his insurance. But if you report to your insurance the accident...even if it was no fault of yours...and you have "two" such reports within approx. a two to three year period...MOST major insurance companies will percieve you as a 'hazardous' driver and see you as a risk (risk=you making an "at fault" claim that they have to pay)...thus, the next time your insurance is due your rates will increase...and they will state that it is due to the rising increase of auto insurance costs or some BS like that...but that is a fact. Also if the police are involved (and they would be because hypothetically they are the ones that hit you) you are legally obligated to report the accident to your insurance company.

In the long run what do you get out of it...if it bothers you that much that he's following you...pull over and let him go by. If he stops...do what Killa_crx suggested...walk over and ask him if you did something wrong...etc.

Getting into an accident for the sake of a little personal satisfaction just isn't worth it in my opinion...but maybe that's just me...

ur right, but in my case i dont have any mods on the outside of my car, so by me pissing the cops im not giveing them a reason to target modifier, just civics, and yes i probably should prood read my posts

Ive only been pulled over once when i was driving and that was for having lights on my wheels. Looked cool as shit but the cops didnt like it, we took them off and for taking them off when we got pulled over got me outta a ticket and i didnt even get a warning. But last thursday me and my friend david were in his truck (97 Ranger) doing doughnuts behind Ice Park (skating rink) in this big shopping place called Central Park. So we were just sittin there spinning on all the ice and snow in the parking lot and a cop drives from the side of Ice Park into the lot and hes drivin all slow, I see him and am like "oh shit a cop" and hdavid stops givin it gas but we still spin a lil and the cops pulls in next to us and puts on his lights. He asks for liscence and registration real quick but David cant find his registration, so the cops ask whos truck it is but then he finds it. Were sittin in the truck for like 5 mins with the heat blastin and were like wtf whats he doin. We thought his mom had put out a call to the cops sayin he ran away because he wouldnt go home for days and his mom is pissed as shit. But then he comes back and is like "if youre going to do something stupid like that dont do it in an open lit up parking lot where i can see you, do it somewhere you know i wont see you, have a nice safe night boys" and lets us off without even a warning.
