EVERY customer I have come in that's blown up his original motor(except one) has had this happen;the cheap-ass stock rod bolts stretch and eventually let go.This of course is because they routinely spin the poor little things up to the limiter and hold it there for a while.ANY TIME you have a motor out,change the damn rod bolts to ARPs.Never had one of them fail,even on blown cars in the 11s
Oh,and another thing-check your stock balancer often if you beat on it;the rings have a tendency to "walk" forward.If it slips radically then your balance disappears and the front of the crank will break and come right through the front of the motor
