lets not get into the physics of sugar and syrup, but "sugar" is a "granulate" it settles to the bottom of the tank. syrup is already a liquid, though it may settle to the bottom of the tank it's already a liquid, and far more sticky. which is what cause's problems. i'd sure as hell rather have sugar in my tank that syrup.

Re: Sugar in the gas tank...eek!

well, its true that the original state of the two are different, but once they start to dissolve in the gasoline, it matters not, they are the same. stikyness is irrelivent in a tank full of gasoline, its the sugar in the syrup, as it dissolves, that enters the gasoline liquid, and is then pulled into the fuel system.

true, i wont argue with you about that. but "stickyness" is not irrelivent. it's what cause's the the crap to stick better to the fibers in your fuel filter, cause injectors to stick, and in worse case senario slow down and burn up, or plug a fuel pump, along with many other possibilities. i'm not trying to prove you wrong or create an argument, i'm just stating personal experience.

Re: Sugar in the gas tank...eek!

but arguing is so much fun lol, jk, but it is the nature of the sugar to bunch up, in filters, fuel pumps, and such, and as the gasoline works on it, it melts together, into a crystalin glob, that cloggs the lines, and if it makes its way into the combustion chamber, causes massive varnishing of the combustion surfaces. so perhaps we are arguing the same point, and just using different words lol.

you put ping pong balls into someone's gas tank and you are half way to napalm. not a good idea, but i guess the people that are pulling this stupid kindof stuff dont think of the "minor" details...

Re: Sugar in the gas tank...eek!

Napalm : Fill a large bucket with gas and put a shit load of styrofoam in it and it will disolve and turn into a "paste" get some asbestos glove and grab a handlful of the "paste" and lite it on fire and throw it at shit.

I used to do this all the time before i found out were to get magnesium ribbon so i could succesfully ingnite some thermium , thermium will burn through the hood of a car all the way through the engine block. After i got suspended from school, i burned a hole through my guidance counslers boxster.

Re: Sugar in the gas tank...eek!

the gas and styoro is just half of the equation. if you want military grade napalm you gotta add a few more goodies. besides napalm is nothing more than jellied gasoline...how on earth did we go from camaros, to the ingredients in syrup, to tactical munitions??

Re: Sugar in the gas tank...eek!

times like this makes me glad I own an import. All imports have locks on their gas tanks. I don't know why American cars don't have em?
